Accompanied by a hazily sketched vehicle that looks like something we'd happily park in our own driveway, Infiniti announced on the eve of the 2011 New York Auto Show an all-new three-row crossover set to go on sale in spring 2012.
And that's most of what we know about the 2013 Infiniti JX at this point.
We'll see the Infiniti JX in concept form at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this August, followed by a world debut of the production version at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
The Acura MDX is the only three-row luxury crossover offered by a Japanese manufacturer today, and we recommend it often for its engaging driving dynamics and affordability compared with European competitors like the BMW X5 and Audi Q7. The 2013 Infiniti JX might be another option along the same lines.
