Gaining a bit more visual distinction while remaining mechanically unchanged, the 2014 Nissan 370 Z Nismo was unveiled in Chicago. Exterior tweaks include new dark-gray color on the lower front/rear fascias, side sills, outside mirrors and Nismo rear spoiler and Nismo-style red pinstripe accents on all but the sills. Solid Red also replaces Magma Red as one of four 370Z Nismo exterior color choices that also include Pearl White, Magnetic Black and Gun Metallic. Cabin revamps see the arrival of a new steering wheel with Alcantara trim and red accents along with a red Nismo tachometer.
Already blessed with a hotter 350-horsepower version of the 3.7-liter V6 engine that puts out 332 ponies in the standard-issue 370Z, stiffer Nismo-spec suspension, bigger brakes and a unique high-performance 19-inch wheel/tires package, the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo remains the benchmark performer of the current Z-car family. A distinctive front fascia and other Nismo body bits endows the car with a better aero profile while its higher-profile driver-focused interior appointments include Nismo logo seats in red/black fabric along with the bespoke steering wheel, tachometer shift knob and aluminum sport pedals plus a numbered plaque verifying the car's authenticity.
The 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo goes on sale this summer. Final pricing will be released closer to the on-sale date.
