For our days-long field trip to the Detroit Auto Show we enlisted the help of the cavernous, comfortable and extra-long Lincoln Navigator L
. The Gator's vast, flexible interior easily accommodated the Kelley Blue Book video crew and their accompanying luggage, cameras, tripods, lights and laptops. Its heated seats, cushy interior and traction-enhancing four-wheel drive let us survey the nice parts of a snowy Detroit in style, and the other parts in detached, worry-free comfort. The Michigan-built Navigator L seemed the perfect vantage point to view the history, decay and promise of the Motor City.
