Acura NSX Concept
In Acura's 2012 Super Bowl spot, Jerry Seinfeld tries to buy his way to the front of the line for the next-generation Acura NSX. Recently revealed in concept form at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, Acura says that when the NSX returns – in three years – it will feature a V6 hybrid powertrain to include an electric motor for each front wheel.

You saw the Super Bowl ads, now meet the cars

The outcome was in question until the very last second, but this year's Super Bowl was the most anti-climactic we can remember as far as the car commercials go. Most carmakers rolled out their ads online in the days leading up to the game, leaving few surprises.
So let's put all this marketing business behind us and get back to what really counts: the cars. When is that Acura NSX coming? Is the new Lexus GS any good? Is the Hyundai Genesis Coupe really quick enough to restart a heart?
Here's a quick look at the newest of the new cars spotlighted during the Super Bowl.
2013 Audi S7
You're forgiven if you remember vampires and headlights but can't recall exactly which Audi model was featured in its Super Bowl ad. The car in question is the 2013 Audi S7, the sportier sibling of Audi's swoopy A7 sedan with a 420-horsepower, twin-turbo V8 capable of launching the car to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds.
2013 Cadillac ATS
Another Super Bowl star world-premiered at last month's 2012 Detroit Auto Show, the 2013 Cadillac ATS promises to be America's best answer yet to compact European sport sedans like the BMW 3 Series.
2012 Chevy Sonic
Chevy's new subcompact is a bit plain looking compared to more sculpted competitors like the Honda Fit, Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Accent, but the Sonic rides, handles and feels good enough that it's already one of our favorites. Here's the Sonic Super Bowl ad.
2012 Honda CR-V
The Honda CR-V launched airborne in the ode to Ferris Bueller's Day Off that was Honda's 2012 Super Bowl ad is the all-new, fourth-generation CR-V. In dealerships now, the 2012 Honda CR-V is roomier and more refined.
2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo
A lot of cars are faster than a Cheetah, but few have two doors on one side and one door on the other. Starting in March, Hyundai's asymmetrical coupe-hatchback will be offered with a 201-horsepower, turbocharged engine.
2013 Lexus GS
The Lexus GS is all-new for 2013, and better prepared for battle with competitors like the BMW 5 Series and Infiniti M. The fourth-generation GS will again be offered with a hybrid model, and add a new F Sport package with some high-tech, high-performance features that are sure to enhance the GS' credibility with the enthusiast set. 2012 Toyota Camry
The perennial best-selling car in the country is all-new for 2012, and it's a warmer, more engaging Camry (if not as extroverted as its Super Bowl ad).
2012 Volkswagen Beetle
Volkswagen's Super Bowl spot from last year wasn't just widely regarded as the best commercial from the game, it was voted by industry journal Adweek as the best commercial of the year. The follow-up won't be winning similar accolades, but the new Beetle – redesigned for 2012 – is attracting plenty of attention.
