Based on the hip five-door Kia Soul
, the Soul'ster Concept jettisons the car's rear bench seat and roof to create the perfect Southern California cruiser. The Soul'ster (in bright Soul'r Yellow) uses the same front-drive platform as the Soul, but its windshield has been shortened and it gains a two-piece manually removable top and functional roll bar. A unique front end features amber backlit headlamps, while cool blue lighting surrounds the side vents, side mirror turn signals and fog/tail lamps. A 19-inch wheel and tire package finishes off the exterior. With an eye on keeping costs low, Kia has created an interior that combines fun with frugality, including flush-folding front passenger and rear seats, crank up windows and big round dash-mounted speakers that can blast tunes loud enough to overpower the rushing wind. Power for the concept comes from either a 120-horsepower 1.6-liter or 140-horsepower 2.0-liter gasoline engine.
