The smaller side of midsize luxury.
Known as the M37/M56 until Infiniti's wholesale nomenclature revamp for 2014, the Q70 is one of the smaller entries in the midsize luxury sedan segment but also among the most fun to drive. In addition to a well-regarded V6, the performance-oriented Infiniti Q70 also offers a big V8 -- an option no longer offered on the Lexus GS.
From our 2014 Infiniti Q70 full review: "The 2014 Infiniti Q70 is a blast on the road. The standard V6 engine pulls strongly, the optional V8 is better, and the hybrid threatens to abolish, once and for all, the cliche that electrically assisted driving slows things down."
The hybrid setup puts out 360 horsepower, and achieves 29 mpg in the city and 34 on the highway. When it was introduced, this system earned a Guinness World Record as the world's fastest-accelerating full hybrid car.

KBB.com reader and M37 owner Speedracer is happy with his (her?) choice: "Stunningly beautiful, looks like a Maserati-Jag hybrid. More appealing and reliable than either the Mercedes E350 coupe or BMW 5 Series. This car is fast and corners effortlessly at high speed with the 4 wheel active steering sport package." The 2014 Infiniti Q70 offers fast luxury in a reliable package, but if you're interested in something roomier or more comfort-oriented you have plenty of options in the midsize luxury sedan segment.
