One of the most anticipated events at the Detroit auto show is the annual presentation of the North American Car and Truck of the Year awards. A jury of journalists from the United States and Canada picks the winners based on attributes like design, comfort, handling, fuel economy, safety and affordability, among others. This year, Chevrolet's Malibu beat out the Cadillac CTS and Honda Accord, while Mazda's sleek CX-9 crossover out-maneuvered the Buick Enclave crossover and Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid SUV.
