By offering the "Warriors in Pink" package for the 2009 Mustang, Ford
Motor Company says it has helped generate more than $1.8 million in donations to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization that supports breast cancer research. The limited-edition Mustang includes the Komen group's pink ribbon logo incorporated into the pony fender badge, pink hood and rocker tape striping and pink stitching on the seats and aluminum-spoke steering wheel. Ford donates $500 from each Warriors in Pink Mustang sale to the Komen group in addition to their support for shopwarriorsinpink.com, a site that sells Warriors in Pink apparel. Ford is also a national sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a series of five-kilometer fitness walks, 60-mile walks and other events.
