Although it promises to tell all in early October,
Honda has issued the first official photos of its new 2010 Accord Crosstour and dropped a few hints as to what we can expect when it does go on sale shortly thereafter. Positioned as the range-topper for the entire Accord line, the new Crosstour has a bolder, more aggressive sense of style that runs from its more prominent grille and angular front clip through its flowing roofline, prominently sculpted flanks and on to its cargo-friendly rear hatch. Complementing that active-lifestyle look is a level of overall refinement and operating efficiencies that Honda says buyers would normally expect to find in a premium
sedan. Although the automaker remains coy about possible trim levels and drivetrain configurations, beyond offering an extra measure of interior space and flexibility that typify today's current crop of
crossovers, Honda execs do admit that the Crosstour will have more ride height and greater ground clearance than a standard Accord while offering all-weather potential consistent with the CUV breed. This would logically lead to the conclusion that it will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive.
