Chevrolet Orlando Play-Doh Edition - Unveiled in London

Intent on piquing the interest of potential UK customers for the launch of its new Chevrolet Orlando crossover van, the automaker parked a full-size replica of this seven-passenger people mover made from 1.5 tons of blue Play-Doh on a London street. Chevy commissioned a team of eight model makers to craft this assuredly one-off Orlando, a mission that reportedly took two weeks to complete. Why Play-Doh? The medium was selected after it topped a Chevy sponsored poll that queried over 1,000 Brits as to their "most-loved toys from yesteryear." A Chevrolet UK spokesperson noted: "Hopefully our launch will appeal to the inner-child in every parent and it will become a firm family favorite." No word as to whether what's reputed to be the world's largest Play-Doh sculpture will be officially recognized as such by the gang at Guinness.
