Making their official public debut in Geneva, the 2015 Range Rover Evoque Autobiography and high-performance 2015 Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic Editions infuse the entry level member of the Land Rover family with the same kind of exclusive character found in line-topping Autobiography versions of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models. Positioned above the Evoque's existing Pure, Dynamic and Prestige variants, these first ever Autobiography models will be available in both 3-door and 5-door body styles. However, only the latter configuration will be coming to the U.S. -- and in limited quantities.
Both the Evoque Autobiography and Autobiography Dynamic Editions boast a number of distinctive upgrades. Unique paint and trim finishes, aero-optimizing lower-body panels and 20-inch forged alloy wheels lead the exterior enhancements while the cabins move beyond the already impressive Evoque Dynamic-spec with bespoke seats wrapped in premium leather and other model-specific accents. Like all 2015 Range Rover Evoque models, the new Autobiography duo will offer the new Land Rover InControl Apps that allows full integration and control of the latest Apple and Android smartphones via the touchscreen in the vehicle.
While the Evoque Autobiography will carry on with the existing 240-horsepower version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine the Autobiography Dynamic gets a hotter version that kicks out 285 horses. Both are backed by a ZF 9-speed automatic transmission, but the gear change in the Dynamic has been reprogrammed to deliver even quicker and more responsive shifts. This enthusiast-grade Evoque also features a retuned suspension with revised geometry, stiffer springs/shocks, more precise steering feel and enhanced functionality of its standard all-wheel-drive and torque vectoring systems plus larger front brake rotors.
The 2015 Range Rover Evoque Autobiography and 2015 Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic Editions will arrive here in the fall along with the rest of the Evoque lineup. Pricing for all will be released closer to their actual on-sale dates.
