Arriving in showrooms soon, the 2015 Kia Optima heads into the new year with only minor changes following its fairly comprehensive updating program for 2014. Several new exterior colors, including Sparkling Silver, Platinum Graphite and Smokey Blue Metallic, add interest while the acoustic glass windshield that was only included on the top-line SX-Limited is now standard across the board.
Inside, there are minor trim tweaks and repositioned buttons for the steering-wheel mounted cruise control but the biggest change comes in the form of next-gen UVO eServices which are optional on the EX/SX/SX Turbo and standard on the SX-Limited. This enhanced version of Kia's UVO infotainment package introduces four new services: Geo Fencing, Driving Score, Speed Alerts and Curfew Alerts. The base Optima LX will continues to offer a carryover version of UVO eServices without these upgrades as an option.
The 2015 Kia Optima LX and EX start at $22,450 and $24,900, respectively, which reflects a $150 bump over their 2014 MSRPs. The 2015 Optima SX, SX Turbo and SX-Limited Turbo see their base prices rise by $200 and now begin at $26,500, $28,500 and $36,300. No word yet on product or price changes for the 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid.
