While the big news for Cadillac's premium compact line revolves around the introduction of the new ATS Coupe, the 2015 Cadillac ATS Sedan also boasts a few significant changes of its own. The most visible is using the Coupe's front fascia, which is highlighted by the "wreathless" Caddy crest. New Crystal White Tricoat and Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic paint are complemented by revised cabin color and trim combinations that include semi-aniline leather and suede-style microfiber seat inserts.
Like its 2-door sibling the 2015 ATS Sedan also features EZ Key passive entry system across the Standard, Luxury, Performance and Premium Collection models. It adds 4G LTE and built-in Wi-Fi hotspot with a 3GB/3-month free trial plus DockSpot wireless phone charging on all but the base variant as part of an upgraded Cadillac CUE/OnStar options. Other tweaks make power adjustability standard for the tilt/telescoping steering column on Premium Collection models and add automatic safety belt tightening and lane change alert to the available Driver Assist Package.
The 2015 ATS Sedan will continue to offer a unchanged versions of the naturally-aspirated 202-horsepower/2.5-liter 4-cylinder and 321-horse/3.6-liter V6 backed by 6-speed Hydra-Matic transmissions with manual-style tap-shift control. While the 2.0-liter Turbo 4-cylinder carries on with its stout 273 horsepower rating, changes to the boost mapping up peak torque by 14 percent to 295 lb-ft. The ATS Sedan offers a choice of rear or all-wheel drive and a standard 6-speed automatic transmission.
Due to arrive in showrooms later this summer, pricing for the 2015 Cadillac ATS Sedan is set to start at $34,210, which is virtually identical to the 2014 figure. The 2.0 Turbo lineup will begin at $36,240 and stepping up to V6 power will require a minimum of $42,335. Cadillac had previously announced that the new 2015 ATS Coupe will open at $38,990.
