Matching distinctive visuals with an enhanced feature set, the 2014 Hyundai Veloster RE:FLEX Edition was unveiled in Chicago. On sale in early spring, this conceptual successor to the 2013 Veloster RE:MIX Edition will be available in a run of just 3,000 units. "Veloster customers desire limited-edition models with even sportier styling, unique features and exclusive colors that allow them to stand out from the crowd and that is exactly what the RE:FLEX Edition delivers," noted Scott Margason, director, product planning at the reveal.
Offered in Century White, Vitamin C, Ultra Black, and Boston Red as well as an exclusive Ice Pearl finish, all RE:FLEX Editions will be fitted with the firm's naturally aspirated 138-horsepower/1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine backed by a 6-speed EcoShift dual-clutch automatic transmission. In addition to a selection of bright exterior trim, the RE:FLEX Edition features LED accents on its projector-beam headlights, front fog lamps, LED taillights, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the new Veloster RE:FLEX boasts full leather upholstery in red or black plus additional leather trim on the steering wheel and shift knob along with Piano Black accents. Other key features include a 450-watt Dimension premium audio system, aluminum sport pedals, an auto-up driver's power window and illuminated door-sill plates.
Pricing for the 2014 Hyundai Veloster RE:FLEX Edition will be announced closer to its official on-sale date.
