Helping celebrate the brand's centennial, the 2014 Dodge Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition is making its first appearance at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show before rolling into dealerships next spring. Offering a tasteful mix of cosmetic and functional upgrades, this limited-run package can be fitted to either Challenger SXT Plus or Challenger R/T Plus variants.
Available in Pitch Black, Bright White, Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Ivory Tri-Coat, Phantom Black Tri-Coat, Header Orange or the exclusive High Octane Red finish seen here, all Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition cars will be fitted with unique 5-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels that feature a "Dodge 100" wheel-center cap and Granite Crystal accenting that also appears on the car's grille surround. A "Dodge Est. 1914" badge on each front fender rounds out the exterior tweaks.
Inside, this commemorative Challenger boasts all-new and exclusive Molten Red or Foundry Black heated Nappa leather sport seats with brass-colored accent stitching and die-cast "Dodge Est. 1914" circular badges. Other custom touches include a competition-style flat-bottom steering wheel, custom white-faced gauges, a unique startup graphic on its Uconnect screen and a 7-speaker Boston Acoustics audio package.
Whether fitted with the 305-horsepower/3.6-liter Pentastar V6 (SXT Plus) or 375-horse/5.7-liter Hemi V8 (R/T Plus), all Dodge Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition models will have performance-tuned suspension systems. Each also will come with a pair of unique key fobs plus a special owner's kit that includes a commemorative book celebrating 100 years of Dodge heritage. The 100th Anniversary Edition package will add $2,500 to the bottom line of either the 2014 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus or R/T Plus models, which base at $29,290 and $32,495, respectively.
