After being teased for the past several months, the wraps have finally come off of the 2012 Lexus CT 200h F Sport Special Edition. A subtle combination of cosmetic and functional upgrades, the CT 200h F Sport Special Edition offers the choice of Nebula Gray Pearl, Starfire Pearl and Tungsten Pearl exterior colors set off by a black expanded-mesh grille insert, larger rear spoiler, distinctive 17-inch F Sport alloy wheels finished in Liquid Silver and special F Sport badges. While there are no changes to the car's Lexus Hybrid Drive system that makes 134 combined horsepower and delivers 43/40-mpg city/highway EPA ratings, this distinctive hybrid hatch does gain a measure of handling prowess thanks to the addition of more aggressive F Sport-spec springs and anti-roll bars.
The cabin of the Lexus CT 200h F Sport Special Edition gets a similar tasteful enhancement, highlighted by seats trimmed in Ocean Blue NuLuxe material with black leather and aluminum accent trim, a black headliner and aluminum sport pedals rounding out the dedicated cosmetics. Further sweetening the F Sport package is a Lexus HDD Navigation system, premium audio package and custom Tumi tote and backpack, which like the seats and floormats, carry F Sport logos. Production of the 2012 Lexus CT 200h F Sport Special Edition will be limited to 900 units. On sale later this month and only available on the CT 200h Premium trim, it will be priced at $38,870.
Lexus also confirmed the arrival of two other limited edition models that will reach showrooms in November. Available only for the rear-wheel-drive model and finished in Obsidian, the 2012 Lexus LS 460 Sport Special Edition will be priced at $77,875 and confined to a 250-unit run. It combines elements of the Sport and Comfort Packages with a special two-tone black and topaz beige interior trim treatment and the Lexus HDD Navigation System. Priced at $41,350 and limited to 2000 total vehicles, 2012 Lexus ES 350 Touring Edition will offer buyers the choice of Stargazer Black or Starfire Pearl exterior colors matched with Brown Walnut wood and Saddle Tan leather inside. Other items in the mix include special 17-inch alloy wheels with a Liquid Graphite finish, heated/ventilated front seats and the Lexus HDD Navigation System.
