Adding a healthy measure of Mopar character to its basic four-door formula, the 2012 Chrysler 200 Super S sedan makes its first public appearance in Detroit and will be available through Mopar-authorized dealers starting later in the year. Two distinct variations are on offer, the first purely cosmetic and the second that brings a welcome bump to the car's absolute performance capabilities.
The Mopar Stage One appearance package emboldens the looks of the Chrysler 200 Super S from nose to tail. It starts with a custom grille treatment that mixes gloss black and satin chrome elements with a deeper chin spoiler up front. Revised side sills and a satin chrome belt molding add edge to the car's profile while a tasteful decklid spoiler, satin-chrome light bar and matte-black lower diffuser with integrated bright exhaust outlets impart a more tailored character to its aft quarters. Completing the look are black-chrome "200" badges and a set of 18-inch "S-spec" alloy wheels finished in gray or hyper black.

Stage Two of the Chrysler 200 Super S kit is focused on function, adding a coil-over suspension that also lowers the car's ride height and center of gravity plus a cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust system. No word yet on pricing or exact on-sale date for either of these Mopar Super S upgrades.
