Football fan or not, each year during the Big Game eyes around the world are focused on more than just the game, but also on the commercials. Known for costing millions of dollars, these thirty-second advertisements -- that we would normally attempt to fast forward through -- become the focus of everyone tuned-in to the big game. Which is the funniest? Did Danica really do that? Then suddenly we have a hankering for peanuts. At Kelley Blue Book we watch to see what clever, innovative and fun ways the car companies will attract customers each year, and we’re never disappointed. Watch the best commercials from the Big Game again and see if any of these have what it takes to be the next “Mean Joe Greene.”

2012 Volkswagen Passat
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “The Force”
The all-new 2012 Volkswagen Passat was unveiled to the world less than a month ago at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. It’s roomier than ever and promises to be more affordable –- to better compete with family-sedan staples like the Honda Accord, for instance –- and can blow the mind of any aspiring Darth Vader. 2012 Volkswagen Passat pictures, prices and reviews.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “Black Beetle”
How do you reinvent an icon? That is exactly what VW has to do with the all-new 2012 Beetle and so far we like what we see. Playing on its insect name, Volkswagen gives us a peek at the 2012 Beetle’s new silhouette after a lighthearted look at an arthropod in racing stripes zooming through a forest at full-tilt. 2011 Chrysler 200
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “Imported From Detroit”
Officially replacing the Sebring, the all-new 2011 Chrysler 200 was unveiled to the world last November at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Chrysler 200 has to bring something special to the table in order to gain a share of the critical midsize sedan market. In addition to Chrysler style and grace, this commercial will tell you that the 200 brings you something else – the blood, sweat and tears of the Detroit auto industry as it fights its way back to the top. Watch out Toyota and Honda, the Chrysler 200 is “imported from Detroit.” 2011 Chrysler 200 pictures, prices and reviews.

2011 Chrysler Vehicle Line
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “Arrive in Style”
Chrysler has had a bad couple of years, so it is no surprise that the company is trying to return to its golden age of style and luxury. Just a few weeks ago, the all-new 2011 Chrysler 300 premiered at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show to much fanfare and hype, giving the company a much-needed boost. By capitalizing on its past -- and perhaps a little on the success of a retro 1950’s and 60’s cable series currently captivating the American public -- Chrysler shows us that they are more than capable of bringing glamour back to the brand. 2011 Audi Vehicle Line
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “Startled Smart”
Audi continues to bite its thumb at the old, aristocratic ways of the luxury car segment by spoofing the good life in “Startled Smart.” A look at luxury prison, the young, beautiful and rich are taught that they shouldn’t follow the “hollow status symbols and out-dated traditions” of their parents. By buying an Audi, of course! Audi pictures, prices and reviews.

2011 Audi Vehicle Line
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “Kenny G Riot Suppressor”
In the second installment of Audi’s commercials from the Big Game that began with “Startled Smart,”  Audi continues its look at luxury prison by introducing Kenny G, who suppresses riots by playing his famous smooth saxophone music. Poking fun at himself, Kenny G (the definition of uncool to young, affluent jetsetters) puts the old-money types to sleep when they riot over lobster.  Audi pictures, prices and reviews.

2011 Audi A8
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “Release the Hounds”
First shown at the 2009 LA Auto Show, the 2011 Audi A8 is sexy and fun-to-drive. By playing on the metaphor that driving a Mercedes-Benz like your father will keep you confined to the life of “luxury prison,” the Audi claims that the A8 will set you free to enjoy the new, breaking-the-mold luxury that only Audi can offer. 2011 Audi A8 pictures, prices and reviews.

2011 MINI Countryman
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “Cram it in the Boot”
The 2011 MINI Countryman in a nutshell: a beefed-up MINI Cooper with four doors, optional all-wheel-drive and apparently an incredibly large trunk. Offering everything a MINI enthusiast might want in an oversized package, it isn’t any wonder that MINI plays on the size of the “boot” in its big game commercial. “With plenty of room to cram” the MINI Countryman can fit a wide variety of items and still perform on the road. 2011 MINI Countryman pictures, prices and reviews.

2011 Kia Optima
Car Commercial from the Big Game: “One Epic Ride”
The 2011 Optima is loaded with options, is beautifully styled and is an impressive vehicle for the Kia brand to add to their line-up. So why not celebrate that with an “epic” commercial that is jam-packed with every Hollywood cliché there is? Like thrillers? Action? Scifi? Kia’s “One Epic Ride” commercial appeals to a multitude of tastes – very much like the 2011 Kia Optima itself. 2011 Kia Optima pictures, prices and reviews.
