To help distinguish it from more adventurous three-row CUVs like the automaker's own Highlander, Toyota
introduced the Camry-base Venza as a "crossover sedan
." Indeed, it comes across as a more reserved option to crossovers
like the Ford Edge
and Nissan Murano
. The Venza offers seating for five, a versatile cargo hold and a choice of four or six-cylinder engines and front- or all-wheel drive. A full complement of standard safety equipment is joined by options like a huge panoramic glass sunroof, power liftgate and 20-inch wheels. No word yet on pricing, but the Venza arrives late in 2008.
