Measuring roughly five inches longer than their predecessors, the
Audi A4sedan and
wagon have undergone one serious growth spurt. Fortunately, the powertrains have kept pace. The wagon will be available exclusively with all-wheel drive and a revised turbocharged 2.0-liter engine now good for 211 horsepower (up from 200) and a whopping 258 pound-feet of torque (up from 207!).
Sedan buyers can also opt for front-wheel drive or a 3.2-liter V6 delivering 265 horsepower (up from 250). The longer A4 will also offer a longer list of high-tech options. Expect prices to start near $30,000 when the latest A4 arrives Fall 2008.
