Hyundai has developed a reputation for rolling out high-powered concept vehicles at the annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas each November, and this year will be no exception. The highlight of its stand will be this one-off 2013 Genesis Coupe prepared by the highly regarded SoCal tuner team at Bisimoto Engineering. Finished in Electric Blue with a carbon fiber hood and decklid, the Bisimoto Hyundai Genesis Coupe packs a highly modified version of the automaker's 3.8-liter Lambda V6 engine that cranks out 1,000 horsepower. Despite a serious internal reworking and the addition of two Bisimoto/Turbonetics BTX6462 turbochargers, the heart of this monster motor remains the standard-issue Hyundai 3.8L engine block.
Fitted with a full Bisimoto roll cage, Racepack IQ3 dash and Buddy Club racing seats, Hyundai's ultra-spec road rager also boasts a Progress coilover suspension system and rolls on super-sticky Toyo R888 R-Compound tires wrapped around staggered-width 20-inch Incurve alloy wheels. Power heads to the rear wheels via a custom-spec Action Ironman clutch. If past experience holds true, expect Hyundai to roll out several more outrageous offerings at this year's SEMA gathering that will no doubt be joined by a host of other over-the-top creations from various other manufacturers.
