Map Scale Changes Automatically with Speed
If you use in-car navigation frequently, you also probably change the scale of the map display frequently.  When you're crawling through a residential neighborhood looking for the haunted house that you've heard so much about, you want the map scale to be 300 feet or so, but when you're zooming down the Interstate at 70 miles per hour you'd probably like to see what is several miles ahead.
