2010 Buick LaCrosse: Sculpted Design, Ultra-Refined

This is a refreshing example of a stunningly styled concept transformed almost intact into a for-sale fashion statement. It started life as the Buick Invicta concept sedan (unveiled at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show in China, where GM's Buick brand is hugely popular) and will reach U.S. showrooms this fall to replace the perfectly fine but invisibly styled current model. Inside, chrome, wood, leather and cool ambient lighting create a rich, contemporary environment. The 2010 Buick LaCrosse will be powered by a 255-horsepower direct-injected 3.0-liter V6 or (in a top-of-the-line CSX model) a 280-horse direct-injected 3.6-liter V6, both coupled to a six-speed auto transmission. With respectable standard-engine fuel economy of 18 EPA miles per gallon city and 27 highway, this new LaCrosse should help accelerate the revitalization of Buick's U.S. image.
