Fiercer headlights, a more gaping grille and prominent side cooling vents give the second-generation Infiniti FX
a more aggressive look that is instantly recognizable nevertheless. The outgoing FX45 becomes the FX50 (all-wheel drive only) by way of a new 5.0-liter V8 good for 390 horsepower, and the FX35's familiar 3.5-liter V6 now generates 303 horsepower. Both engines are matched with a new seven-speed automatic transmission. A long list of attractive options includes an active suspension, lane departure prevention and a 360-degree camera. Look for a starting price near $40,000 when the 2009 FX arrives in June 2008.
