2009 Acura TSX: Bigger, Bolder and More Fuel-friendly, Too
Posted 3/19/2008 9:46 AM
We can't recall the last time an automaker introduced an all-new model that offered less horsepower than its predecessor, but desperate times ($4 gas) call for desperate measures. The second-generation, four-cylinder TSX delivers 201 horsepower (four fewer than before), 172 pound-feet of torque (eight more, actually) and highway fuel economy up to 30 mpg (up from 28). It's also larger -- both on paper and in personality -- and offers goodies like a navigation system with traffic info and mind-blowing DVD-Audio surround sound. Look for the more gregarious TSX in Spring 2008 at an expected starting price below $30,000.
