The Maybach Landaulet is one of those cars that we at kbb.com have a hard time coming to terms with. First, we can't imagine those likely to buy it wanting to expose themselves to the harsh rays of the sun any more than necessary. Secondly, the price jump from hard to soft top Maybach is on the order of $900,000, which even for the idle rich is a lot of coin. The best we can figure, buyers of the Maybach Landaulet aren't really all that interested in open-top motoring. But they will happily pay something on the order of a million bucks to own a vehicle that others don't own.
