The biggest takeaway from our recent week in the 2008 Sonata was that the interior needed an update. Hyundai
was already on the case, and has now unveiled a reworked Sonata with a new interior, freshened exterior, revised engines and a modified suspension. The revamped interior combines Veracruz-like design touches with new features like a touch-screen navigation system, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and auxiliary audio inputs. The four- and six-cylinder engines now deliver 175 and 249 horsepower (up from 162 and 234), respectively, and a tick better fuel economy. Expect it in dealerships by March 2008.
