2009 Hyundai Sonata: It Had a Little Work Done

The biggest takeaway from our recent week in the 2008 Sonata was that the interior needed an update. Hyundai was already on the case, and has now unveiled a reworked Sonata with a new interior, freshened exterior, revised engines and a modified suspension. The revamped interior combines Veracruz-like design touches with new features like a touch-screen navigation system, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and auxiliary audio inputs. The four- and six-cylinder engines now deliver 175 and 249 horsepower (up from 162 and 234), respectively, and a tick better fuel economy. Expect it in dealerships by March 2008.
