Introduced as a "premium sports
sedan," Hyundai's new flagship was developed with an eye on established nameplates like the
BMW 5 Series, according to the automaker. While the Genesis' expected starting price of around $30,000 will put it in direct competition with cars like the
Chrysler 300 and upcoming Pontiac G8, on paper it indeed warrants comparison with some of the world's best sport
sedans. Hyundai's first rear-wheel-drive
car will also offer the automaker's first V8- one good for an estimated 375 horsepower - plus premium-only features like a leather-wrapped dash and smart cruise control.
