The Toyota Corolla
rolled onto American soil in 1968 and very quickly became a benchmark for reliable, economical transportation. The 2009 model promises to continue this tradition, albeit with more conspicuous styling conceived in the styling studios of Turin, Italy. The bigger new Corolla will offer a 132-horsepower 1.8-liter engine and a 158-horsepower 2.4-liter engine that will be included as standard equipment in the performance-oriented XRS model. Optional equipment highlights include a navigation system with real-time traffic information. Look for it in February 2008 with a starting price around $15,000.
