2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI: Higher Technology, More Brute Force

With 12 more horsepower, quicker-hitting torque and just 22 more pounds to cart than its sedan predecessor, the all-new, five-door WRX STI promises even more radical performance figures. The 305 horsepower from the turbocharged 2.5-liter boxer engine makes its way to all four wheels via a sophisticated new Driver Control Center Differential (DCCD) with six manual and three automatic settings. A double-wishbone rear suspension is also new, as is an available navigation system with video inputs to accommodate movie players or gaming systems. The 2008 WRX STI starts at $34,995 and is scheduled to arrive in January 2008.
