2008 Green Car of the Year: Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid

As the so-called green movement continues to gain momentum, so does the Green Car of the Year award presented annually at the Los Angeles Auto Show by Green Car Journal magazine. This year, GM boasted three vehicles among the five finalists, and took home the award for its Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid. Promising a 50-percent improvement in city fuel economy compared to the all-gas Tahoe, the forthcoming full-size SUV hybrid beat out the Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid, Saturn Aura Hybrid, Mazda Tribute Hybrid and Nissan Altima Hybrid.
