"If you can find a solid one used, pick it up and find a backyard mechanic or a mechanic that runs a shop for cash. This is not a car you want to take to the Cadillac dealership for anything!!! If it had a warranty or was a newer model, I could understand, but with an older model, you are throwing money away. Wash it and have it hand waxed. Take good care of the paint. The ignitions on these are also part of the GM recalls but they might not show up on the list because of the age, so call the dealership to verify and set appt."
Cons: "Heavy doors will try to close on you when exiting"

"I am the second owner of this car. I bought it from my mother in-law, so it's almost a one owner. This Cadillac has a very nice ride, is comfortable and has a big car feel. I've had only a few mechanical problems and would rate the vehicle as highly reliable. As far as MPG, it's actually very good for a V-8. The trip computer shows 21+ in city driving and 28+ on the highway. I'd recommend this car as a solid second car, a car for a teen, or similar. The car is a comfortable 4 passenger car."
"Purchased this car in 2006, was previous owners of cadillacs. This has proven to be one of the best, we will drive it until either the car or us falls apart. No mechanical problems. Great gas mileage. All the bells & whistles still working. Great drive-ability. Wish we could find another like it."
"We have a 2003 Cadillac Deville DHS with the Onstar Northstar system,
She has 171.840 miles on her she still rides like a dream,
The body is straight never been in any accidents, no dents, has a few minor scratches, the interior is in very good to even great shape, the is one side lamp cover that is broken, radial tires 60% left, sunroof, newer batteries, fully loaded
There is no damage to the leather interior, there has never been any smoking in the vehicle,
Screens for the backseat side windows and the rear window are in great shape,
The one issue she is having is a leaking head casket on the #3cyl,
We would repair but were going to sell her anyway do to moving out of state."
