CTS-V Neat car, horrendous fuel mileage

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 25,000

Pros: "Power"

Cons: "Fuel economy"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 5

"Car is neat, and fun to drive, but is amazingly bad on fuel. I understood it is a 400hp car, but I thought that driving it "nicely" would return decent mileage. Not so. Around town it gets 14mpg, on the highway it gets 19. If you use the 400hp, it can get 10mph around town. It's been reliable, but it only has 25k miles, so I wouldn't even expect a Chrysler to have issues yet."

Great entry level luxury car!

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 125,000

Pros: "Great ride, Amazing handling, TURNS LOTS OF HEADS!"

Cons: "lack of power, and gas mileage from 2.8"

"My first car i bought while i was in the military, and i have loved it! Great handling and riding car, and i have only had one issue of an $50 O-2 sensor (easy enough to do my self) in 40,000 miles, in 3 years with a handful drives from Washington State, to Texas. And ALOT oftrips from El Paso TX to PHX AZ. Only cons are the horrible MPG for a 2.8 v6, and the 2.8 does not produce enough torque to make this car truly fun to drive , i could justify the bad MPG if the 2.8 produced more power, but it really does reduce from the driving experience on this car."

Best car i have ever own.

Pros: "Fast car."

Cons: "not really good on gas."

"I had to BMW a 98 and a 01 both car where really unreliable always breaking down and really expensive to repair. I love BMW but gave up and bought a Cts I had 99000 miles when I bought it and now has 139000 miles, I have never had any problems with it besides the problems that every one with a 03/04 cts the reverse light cover fell off at the carwash and its 500.00 replace. The car runs great really fast even with 20 inch rims and low protires, it feels like your flying on the highway every one that travels with me loves the car. Im ready to upgrade to a new one and have a lot of people making me offers."
