"I am the second owner bought from a dr through a dealership. Low mileage and have owned for 8 of the 10 years. This SUV has been one of the best vehicles I have ever had (excluding my Mercedes) and has never given me any trouble other than normal maintenance. However, it is approaching 11 years old and is starting with the typical little things warranting replacing or changing etc. I have put more than enough money in this vehicle in my opinion so I want to trade back to a Mercedes. This has been an awesome vehicle for me and what I needed at the time as I drove across country, around the country, and back. A great SUV! No longer make this model but I'm sure the Encore and Enclave live up to the standard my Rendevouz did."
Cons: "Less than advertised mpg, A lot of repairs"

"We bought this 2003 Buick Rendezvous as a used car. We specifically sought out the FWD version instead of the AWD because the fuel economy was SUPPOSED to be close to 25 mpg. We have NEVER gotten better than 21, basically the same as the AWD version. Also, before 100,000 miles the rocker arm was pushed up out of the head. The shank holding it in the head was significantly smaller than that of the rocker arms of another car we had with the same motor. This happened on the freeway at 75 mph. We got that repaired and then it happened not just once but twice more. Each time a different rocker arm. The mechanic finally just went to the junk yard and got the heavier duty rocker arms from another similar motor and replaced all of those he hadn't replaced yet. SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW!!! Cost us in total nearly $2,000. Other aspects just seem to be done on the cheap. The electrical system has a problem and the power port/cigarette lighter keeps blowing fuses every time we plug in a charger for a phone. The headliner is falling down because the clips broke and the ignition switch went bad. Just shoddy parts and workmanship. I have owned Buick vehicles for years and have loved each one but this one is a BUST!"
"I bought car used three years ago and fortunate with low mileage and still had remaining time on warranty. I have not had any major problem(s) with car. The inside of car has luxury style and very comfortable. Memory settings for two (2) drivers (seat, side mirrors). Car drives very smooth. Picks up speed fast going onto freeway and on steep grades. Like the 3rd seat row, if needed; when not in use plenty of room for large items to fit. For an SUV, mileage in City is 18-20mpg and get at least 24-25mpg Highway. Too bad this model was discontinued. I definitely recommend."
"I purchased this Buick Rendezvous thinking that I would get a reliable vehicle.. Boy I was wrong. Bought in December 2016 and have done constant repairs since. Cooling system does not reach normal temp., even after system flush, thermostat, temp. sensor, and water pump. after that, oil pressure switch. then I had to replace both front wheel bearings. The rear wiper blows fuses. And now needs new rear differential!!!! More money in parts than what this piece of junk is worth!! If it weren't financed, I would take it to the scrapyard and watch them crush it into a little square chunk of metal remains... I will NEVER buy another GM product....PERIOD!!!!!!"
"A Comfortable car, nice driver. Very good in snow. Electrical nightmare. Like most American cars the electronics leave much to be desired. I Do not recommend the 3.6 engine. It is an expensive nightmare to work on since it is a Cadillac transplant everything is more expensive."
