"Bought with 15000 miles, have had for 10 years, electronics are a joke ( instrumentation ) the motor has been very reliable no problems, and the body has held up looks good for a car with 134000 miles but that is where it ends.I have had to replace the rear end ( all wheel drive )and last year i had to have the transmission rebuilt. Maybe I am wrong here but a car that has been well maintained such as this one should not have major components failing on it with that milage, I will not buy another Buick. I will on the other hand buy another Honda almost 150000 miles and not a problem!!!"

"Ive owned this car for 1 year so far. Its has 165,xxx miles on it. And really the only problem is the trasnmission but I really think that its just my car and how the previous owners treated it. I am the 2nd owner on my car. The previous owners were a older couple."

Pros: "Great mid-size SUV!!"

Cons: "I'm not very fond of the fabric seats."

"I have literally had no issues with this vehicle and I am the only private owner. I have previously had Ford, Chev over many years and have been so impressed with this Buick that my next purchase will probably be another Buick SUV. My Explorer was just tooo big for me and my lifestyle. This size is perfect."

Pros: "Great ride, handles well, comfortable"

Cons: "Doors freeze shut"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Very few repairs, the gas gauge does not work and I have been told they could fix it but not guarantee it, problem with the model year. The other only on-going problem is the doors freeze shut on a regular basis. Runs great, comfortable for long drives, works for my 6'4 husband as well as myself 5'2. This feature is next to impossible to find. I have no idea what I will replace it with when the time comes."

Pros: "Many including versitility great gas mileage (22)"

Cons: "Very few."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I Bought this vehicle new in February of 2004. It's the only vehicle I've had in 30+ years of driving that I didn't want to get rid of. This car has never let me down and is extremely dependable. It currently has over 148,000 miles is still going strong. If Buick made this model today I'd buy a new one but because they took this great vehicle off the market in 2007 and replaced it with a much more cost prohibitive but equally as nice car, the Enclave, I think I'll keep mine."

Poor fuel economy, but long lasting

Pros: "Long lasting, drives like a car"

Cons: "Many issues with tires and underbody"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"Have had to do costly repairs on chassis which I found out is common on these vehicles. If you can get past this and the very poor fuel economy, it's actually a pretty comfortable and easy to maintain vehicle. My vehicle has seen some very harsh winters and is still alive and well. Rust started in 2010 on the hood but is very slow to spread. Because of the age of the vehicle I have put very little work in it and only do what is absolutely necessary and regular oil changes. At 145,000 miles the vehicle still drives very well. The already not so great fuel economy has taken a slight dip, but the vehicle itself is still mechanically sound."
