Pros: "Fun to drive, great dual ac/heat, great sound sys"

Cons: "plastic parts break, clips break, leaky engine"

"We loved our Regal as a new car it got little mileage and ran like a dream, requiring regular maintenance. The problems we've had were electronic window openers breaking, windows falling, clips breaking, cup holder falling apart - little parts like this are expensive. Garage kept but the trim around the windows is rotted away and replacing it at this time is prohibitive - hard to find so the windows will fail again. $500 a pop to replace the window motors each time and that was 10 years ago. we have one window motor that pops out because the clip broke- back seat and hardly used! Great engine we replace transmission 3 yrs ago. Trade offer was $500 HaHaHaHa - we'll donate it but for now it drives 3miles to and from the train each day - we'll hold on to it."

"GM has taken the band-aid route on these engines. We timely had each of the 4 recalls on the engine completed. The last on March 25, 2016. The Engine caught fire on May 13, 2016 while trying to start the vehicle. The vehicle was parked on a residential street. The car had 107,000 miles on it."

"My first car was a Buick Regal. If I had not had an accident, I would still have this car. Such a comfortable ride and great power. The 3800 Series II V6 would smoke anyone at a red light. Definitely not a glamorous car, but I loved its classiness. All of my girlfriends hated it, but I didn't care. The only problems I had out of the car was the water pump, intake gasket, and coolant system hoses. Other than that, GREAT car. These problems, although expensive, didn't happen till over 100,000 miles."

Pros: "greatest one i ever owned & i'm 70"

Cons: "it won't last for ever"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"from the start, I loved the way it drove, the comfort, how quiet it is. the acceleration was surprising (not intending to, the tires squealed easily). the only complaint I have with my gs is that after all the years & miles it's started showing the wear. I kept the maint. up so the body is showing it's wear/tear but mechanical it's great. I would drive it cross-country w/o any hesitation. man I love that car."
