"Best Car I have ever owned, and my second Buick Park Avenue. I bought the 1999 model because of the success and value I had driving my 1985 Buick Park Ave. I am still driving my current 1999, even though it has 198,000+ miles. It has been well maintained through the years and has just now, 2015, shown some rust discoloration along the inside edge of the door. I refuse to trade it in because at age 73 a retiree cannot afford the price of a new one. The only thing wrong is that the leather on the driver side is now beginning to wear out. I will keep this car until it no longer runs. I have no complaints other than that it is quite expensive to replace computer driven parts, such as the heating/cooling. It cost $500 in 2014 to get the heating/air conditioning - considering it had a 185,000 miles, not too bad a fix. I will drive it until it stops, just to see how far over 200,000 it will go. I plan to repair the leather seat rather than sell the car....Keefer"

"This vehicle Park Ave Buick with engine type cannot be replaced, Scares one trying to find its replacement .. Only looking for America made... Impossible so far at 100% US. Just cannot bring myself to sell even though the insurance is well over 100.00$ a month. New is even more."

Pros: "Great price for the service and dependability"

Cons: "Bumper coatings could be of better materials"

"Buick Park Avenue is one of the best cars in my opinion for overall performance, comfort in driving, smooth ride, easy to see out the windows and good gas mileage for this size car. Why did they quit manufacturing this car? I have owned mine for 15 years and do not want to part with it. I would buy another one just like it if they were available."

Pros: "It's been my dream car"

Cons: "none"

"This is the most luxurious, comfortable, quietest, and frugal car I have ever owned. I bought it from a 101 year old lady. Living in the suburbs I get 22 mpg (I'm light footed) and 32 mpg highway. It drives like it's free wheeling (no sudden deceleration when you lift foot off the accelerator). The only reason I'm considering selling is I am 81, have had my fun with it, and would like a new car with all the added features new cars offer."

Pros: "Comfortable and roomy"

Cons: "Lower doors prone to rust; seen it on others"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have an '02 and wish that there were newer ones out there so that when it is time to get a different one, there would be one. Even if I bought the last model off the line, it would be an '05 and that's already 10 yrs old. I really, really like this car. Smooth on the highway, great pick up when needing to pass, handles excellently. Get about 28-29 on hwy and 17-18 in town. I do wish the in town was higher. I have found the construction of the lower doors not great because they rusted and I had to have them fixed. The open lower edge was supposed to let water run out of the door but I don't think it worked. The car can hold a ton of stuff in the back seat and trunk. The back seat is full sized so you don't have to be a munchkin to ride back there."

"Wish they still made a car like this. I would buy another one. Comfortable seats, great mileage, holds the road like no other car. Also beautiful car overall."
