"I have had everything from vans to an Eldorado and for every day dependability and timeless looks the Park Avenue has it . I would buy a new one today but they don't make them any more. The last year was 2005 anyone who has one is keeping it."
Pros: "super quiet, comfortable ride, reliable, great mpg"

"I'd recommend this vehicle to a friend but they are becoming hard to find. Bought my 2005 Park Ave. used in 2007 with 54,000 miles on it. complete luxury package with heads up display, heated front seats "the works" including on-star (never used). She currently has over 166,000 miles i just recently repaired some engine sensor devices and for under $350.00 only engine work ever done. When i drive the interstate cruising at 74 mph i achieve 35 mpg, I average 25 mpg. I love this car so much that 18 months ago i bought another 2005 for my wife, actually for me because i did not want to drive any other car if mine went into the shop for a day or two which as i said just recently happened. I did experience the common issues like the climate control display going out but a trip to the electronic store for higher wattage resistors and its back on for last 4 years. i never had the problem with the warping of the intake manifold which causes coolant to leak into a cylinder. I did flush my transmission fluid at 120,000 miles and to this day it is the same engine coolant in it since the day i bought it, no sludge or deposits of any kind. Of all the cars i owned 73 Dodge Challenger, 75 Chrysler New Yorker (yes the big one) a 1976 Dodge Power Wagon, a 78 brand new Chrysler Cordoba, even an 82 Ford Escort plus a new 1996 f150 Ford 4x4 pickup along with cars for my wife Kia Optima, a Kia Sadona The Buicks by far have been the best cars to date.
Pros: "If ;you can get one for around $3,000, grab it!"
Cons: "No GPS"

"This Buick Park Avenue was the best car I ever owned, and I am now 79 years old, had my first car at age 20. This car has features that I don't even find in my current 2014 Toyota Camry. The only thing I would have liked in the car which it didn't have was a GPS. Otherwise I believe it outshines any of the cars I've seen today. Not only that, but almost every time I had a passenger in my car they always commented on how comfortable it was. You could hardly feel any bumps on the road...very smooth...not like the Toyota. I hate to see her go, but she is getting old now. I'm getting used to the Toyota, which is nice, but it's what I can afford now."
"I was looking for a second "go to work" car and my budget was less than $5000. At that price range I knew I was looking at cars with some miles so I wanted a Honda or Toyota because of their good reputation for longevity. After weeks of searching through small dealerships and private sellers I realized both Toyota and Honda were beyond my price range, unless the vehicle had 200,000 miles on it!
A friend who used to be a mechanic told me about Buick's 3.8 ltr V6 engine and it's robustness. I bought a 97 Park Avenue with 90000 miles for $3400. For the last 3 years,I thank my friend all the time because this car has been nothing but wonderful! The supercharged engine propels the big car like a torpedo and the transmission continues to shift flawlessly. It's a nice smooth ride that gets pretty good gas mileage for such a big car. I've had just normal wear and tear maintenance and I have little doubt this car will make it to 200,000 miles and beyond! Even my wife prefers to drive the Buick over our brand new mini cooper! If you need a solid, reliable car on a tight budget consider Buick."
