All 2011 Buick Lucerne models gain GM's StabiliTrak stability control system, while five-passenger models are fitted with a console-mounted USB port.
The Lucerne is Buick's flagship sedan. Replacing the long-running Park Avenue, the Lucerne shuns the soft ride and geriatric image once associated with Buicks and moves the division into a realm populated by such formidable names as Lexus, Acura and Lincoln. Sharing a common platform with the Cadillac DTS, the Lucerne is offered in three trim levels, each offering a different blend of ride comfort, performance and handling. The Lucerne's spacious cabin is awash in fine materials and displays an exemplary attention to detailit's also the quietest Buick interior every produced. Buyers can opt for a fuel-efficient V6 or a potent 275-horspower Northstar V8, as well as GM's Magnetic Ride Control suspension (CXS trim) to transform the Lucerne from stately boulevard coach to agile touring sedan.

"Other than rather bland styling and performance I can not say anything bad about this vehicle. Very comfortable, quiet and roomy with excellent gas mileage for a large and heavy car. We regularly get 30MPG on interstate hwy trips, a bit over 20MPG around town. Trouble free so far, no mechanical or body problems. A good, reliable vehicle."

"The 3.8L V6 has all the power I need, and more. This automobile gives outstanding gas mileage, significantly more MPG than the EPA rating. This is a large car and yet it gives as good or better gas mileage than virtually every foreign-made large car and even better mileage than many medium-size and small-size cars. I love it! I don't know what the long-term reliability will be in the short time I have had the car. However, we have a 2004 Buick LeSabre and based on that auto's reliability this one should be as good or better."

"My wife loves this car. Good road car with comfortable ride. V-8 has good power and good mileage for this size of car."
