If you need 8-passenger seating in a vehicle that is reasonably sized, gets good fuel economy (check out the front-wheel drive model) and sells for less than $40,000, there are lots of choices. If, ho
If part of your upscale lifestyle includes towing a boat or horse trailer, the 2012 Buick Enclave crossover SUV's 4,500-pound tow rating may not be sufficient to meet your needs.
The 2012 Buick Enclave can easily carry up to eight adults in relaxed comfort. The driving dynamics for the Enclave are not sports-car-like, but there is plenty of useful feedback via the steering wheel, and the cable chassis and suspension turn in an impressively stable performance. The Enclave's V6 engine provides adequate acceleration, but it could do with a few more horsepower. On the flip side, the Enclave's fuel-economy ratings are near the top of its class. "I've owned this car for 3 months now, and other than one electrical issue (now corrected), it has been a wonderful replacement for my '03 Suburban Z71. No longer need to haul a football or baseball team, and was looking for some style and comfort. Fell in love at the test drive ('08 47K, loaded & clean!), and after some back n forth, settled on a very good price. I did have one issue that made me question the purchase (transmission not shifting/ shifting harsh/ DIC info warnings...), but a visit to a Buick dealer found a loose connector... Greased the connector, and seated correctly, and all has been well ;) I do not do much (10%) city driving, but my over all average, day to day mileage has been a true 19.5 - 20.5! On one long trip (400 miles), I got almost 24mpg! Not bad IMHO."

"we have the AWD - & it is thirsty! I went from a Honda Accord -0 needless to say it was an adjustment in terms of gas mileage. However, all that said - I love this car. The whole family asks if we can take it each time we go somewhere together."
