"This thing takes off! Looks great, runs great. I have always owned BMWs and I always will. I also own a 2006 325i which is equally great!! BMW is the ultimate driving machine!"

"I bought my 530xi used in 2009 with just under 50k miles. I now have about 90k on it and I've been really happy with the car. My only issue was that at 51k miles the car's thermostat went and had to be replaced (did the water pump at the same time). Since it was just over warranty I didn't think anything would be covered, but the dealirship I went to asked BMW to cover parts and they did. Still $700 maintenance fee on a car I had for a few months (ouch) but at least parts were covered. Since then its been normal wear and tear. I've only owned American before this car so the costs of maintence is definitetly higher, but I expected that and found a great shop that speciallizes in BMWs rather than a dealership. Overall the car is a lot of fun to drive. When I drive another car it only renews my love for my 5 series. Its fast, sporty and has all the tech I could ask for (heads up display and heating steering wheel I dont know if I'll be able to live without later). I plan on keeping it another 100k miles which I dont think will be a problem."

"I purchased my 2004 BMW 530i in 2007. I have owned it for 5 years and driven 100,00 on a 50 mile round trip commute to work everyday in traffic. I spend 3 hours a day commuting and love this car as much today as I did the day I bought it. I have been more than satisfied. The power it has when you step on the gas is wonderful and the comfort and handling are the best I have ever had in a car. I am saving now for my next BMW. My only complaint would be about the lack of/cheap cup holders. I have heard that they have resolved this with the newer models."

"Drives well, intuitive controls, quality features. I feel safe in this vehicle and I can do almost anything with it. Don't understand why BMW discontinued it, but we'll hold onto ours as long as possible. Our other car is a leased Mercedes-Benz 350 Blutec. No comparison, with an obnoxious navigation system and electronics, as well as other annoying features that would seem fine, I'm sure, if we weren't spoiled by our BMW wagon."
