I own this car - My approximate mileage is 160,000

Pros: "Perfect handling, MPG and acceleration"

Cons: "Sound system is so-so"

"My 1997 M3 Dinan Sedan has 160,000 miles, I drive it all the way from Los Angeles in to Mexico, this masterpiece NEVER has ANY problems it is like the car is possessed, I get 25.3 mpg combined, I find it hard to believe that ANY car can be better than this, I think the weight balance must be perfect because ever the tires last a long time, Lol I will keep this car as an experiment to see when something breaks."

Excellent auto!

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 87,000

Pros: "Fun, fast, stylish, solid, good mileage"

Cons: "Expensive repairs if done at the dealer"

"I've owned my Dakar yellow 5-speed M3 sedan for many years (since 23,000 miles). It handles great and is still eye-catching even though it's 14 years old. My buddies have their latest Audi's, Corvette's, Mercedes, etc., but I still show up in my M3 and they gather 'round. I can't think of any reason to ever have another auto (I also have a Tacoma truck). My only negative - I've always had it serviced at the local BMW dealership and I had an air conditioning compressor replaced last year. Ouch! I won't have them do that again! $$$$$$"

car is worth it

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 100,995

Pros: "fun, great handling, true late 90s look, seats 5"

Cons: "not too many cons really..no headrests in the back"

scenic drive

"Overall a fun car to own and drive. If you take care of it, it will take care of you. Also it has plenty of power right when you want it. My first m3 and i plan to get a e46 m3 one day, but for now this one will do. Sure it has its electrical issues inside like sunroof wont close automatically (you have to hold the button to close it (gasp!) If you have an opportunity to get a 90s m3...get it, its worth and you will have a great time. There's coupe, sedan, and convertible styles too."

Best handling car in the world

Pros: "Handling power styling comfortable safety"

Cons: "Because mine has cup holders ashtray not useable"

"In 1995 the BMW M3 was rated the best handling car in the world. I own a high end automotive repair shop and I've driven so some the fastest and most exotic cars in the world. Even with driven and owning very fast and way over priced super cars my 1995 M3 in my opinion handles better then any other. Car has plenty of power stock but doing what I do I couldn't just leave it alone mines supercharged making it even more fun. Over all the car is very reliable and would feel comfortable driving from here in Florida to California any day of the week."

Very Nice Car

Cons: "Often has timing problems"

"It is simply a economic, luxury car when you want it, and a fast, high-performance car when you want that. Highly recommended! Bought one of these unseen on the Internet, and drove it 500 miles home from Boston. With out a single problem!! Was very good on the gas too. Averaged 31 mpg. Got 416 miles on 7/8 of a tank"
