Dependable driver's car but poor retained value

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 79,000

Pros: "Great features, comfort, driving, fuel economy"

Cons: "Poor resale, expensive maintenance"

"BMW should not switch to small turbo engines when the 3.0liter six get such good mileage. Our overall average for the last 30,000 miles is 26.4 mpg. Highway mileage is consistently 30+ mpg. This was the last of the BMW's with a spare tire and non-run flat's. 46K miles on original tires. 20-way seats are superb. Nearly trouble free with only one item repaired - the driver's seat extension motor. The iDrive is intuitive and easy to use; great information. Downsides:It is amazing what BMW gets for parts and maintenance(example- a pair of wiper blades was $108). The factory paint quality is terrible - grainy orange peel appearance."

Pros: "GREAT LOOK AS A LUXURY CAR WITH A GREAT PRICE"

Cons: "NO COINS HOLDER"

"I AM DRIVING THIS CAR FOR 4 YEARS ,IN VARIOUS ROAD CONDITIONS FROM TEXAS HEAT TO TORONTO COLD . ABSOLUTELY PERFECT .THIS ALL ORIGINAL GERMAN PARTS REALLY SHOWS THE POWER OF PERFECT ENGINEERING AND DESIGN .HANDLING AND STABILITY IN HIGHWAYS IS ANOTHER POSITIVE POINT OF THIS CAR."

Drives like new

"I bought this car new and have driven it for 8 years. It drives like the day I took it off the show room floor. I did perform every scheduled maintenance action, but never used premium gasoline. It runs fine on regular gas! Worth every penny I paid for it."

Been in love from day one!

Pros: "A car worth the price"

Cons: "Factory rims could be sportier"

"Bought my 2007 525i new and have love driving it every day! Even at 91,000 miles it still rocks! This was my dream car and has lived up to and exceeded my expectations! The handling is tight like a sports car and the tight gear ratio gives it great take-off power. The inside is roomy and comfortable without being too big. The exterior paint still shines like a new car the leather seats are like new even in the florida heat, there is no cracking or wear in them. Would definately purchase again in the future!"
