"It's too bad BMW stopped making/selling this car in the US - it is an amazing car to drive. I owned a M3 a few years back, and this car is probably just as powerful and fast. I bought this out of the lease when I found out I couldn't replace it - and no other car was as appealing. There have been some recall and quality issues, but as long as the car has a factory extended warranty, I am perfectly happy. I WISH I COULD BUY ANOTHER ONE."

"I bought this 07 328xi used with 30K on it. I change the synethetic oil every 15K even though my computer says it's not needed until over 20K based on my driving conditions. It does take 7 qts of synthetic oil which cost over $120 at the dealer, but worth it in my opinion. I replaced the origional tires at 61K with the same Conti-Contact run flat tires. The computer says the origional brakes are set to wear out at around 105K. I've never owned a car that needed so little maintenance. I drive normal, not aggressive, but not like grandma either, and live somewhat in the country, plus it's a manual which is easier on brakes. I average 26.7 MPG overall, but my odometer is off by 4 MPH at highway speeds (according to my GPS which is right on in my families 4 other cars) so I assume my MPG is overstated by the same 5-6% percent. BMW (Dealer) says that's normal as the car comes with different options of tire sizes. I assume that is just dealer B.S.! I previously owned a Subaru Legacy GT and there was a successful class action lawsuit against them as overstating speed (by less than this), overstates mileage, which not only makes the warranty run out early, but also reduces resale value. I think BMW could have done a better job with the clutch, it takes alot of effort to take off smoothly in 1st gear and I've owned many manual cars before, the rest of the gears are fine as they are more tolerant once moving. I like my daugters 99 Beetle's clutch better. I would also love to see BMW find a way to combine a somewhat softer ride over potholes etc. while maintaining most of the driving charastics. The run flat tires are a little harsh over pot holes, but I've hit some large pot holes very hard at highway speeds and had it not been for the extra wide/stiff sidewalls on these tires it would have blown a normal tire out as I've had happen before with much less impact. Overall the car runs and drives great, I can't tell any difference from the day I bought it. The first 50K miles have cost me $.16/mi in depreciation acording to KBB and will only continue to go down. I figure I drive a BMW for the cost of someone owning an economy car. While I didn't have a long factory warranty, I had a long enough one to feel comfortable the car wasn't a lemon. Overall I think it's the best car I've ever owned and plan to keep for 200K."

"I purchased my 2-door 328i BMW in the fall of 2006 and had to order it because it was a new body style for the 3 series. I've got 50,000 miles on it and it's been great ever since I bought it. I absolutely love it. The only reason I'm getting rid of it is because I have two toddlers and we've just plain outgrown a two-door. We actually do have child car seats in the back and it works fine but a two-door would be better. The only drawback that you can say about this car is the cup holders. Small and rather ridiculous. Otherwise everything else is wonderful. I will miss this car when we sell it."
