Pros: "Fun to drive, and reliable"

Cons: "Maintenance average $.10/mile over 5 yrs"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I like the car a lot, my wife loves it. It handles very well, and is so smooth you don't know how fast you are going unless you look at the speedometer - feels the same at 90 or 100 as at 50, so you have to be careful."

Pros: "The 100% bumper to bumper maintenance package"

Cons: "One cup holder is inconvenient"

"The instant I sat in this car I knew it was for me. It fit perfectly, and everything was where it was supposed to be. It was as though a team of engineers had designed a car just for me. Ten years later, I still feel the same way. I've recently reviewed the market, and the only car that would tempt me out of this one is another BMW."

Pros: "Reliable Car"

Cons: "Too Small for most of my Friends"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"The BMW brand speaks for itself. I would definitely purchase another one, but not the 3-series. Not because of anything BMW has done, but as I get older (40+) it gets harder getting in and out of the car. My 325i was purchased in Germany in 2003 and I opted to not get the Sunroof nor the powerseats. At the time, I felt the outside features (ie... M-series rims) were important. I did not plan on having it this long, but I like it."

Pros: "See above"

Cons: "Expensive repairs - But it is worth it"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Nothing but normal wear and tear - I will never own a car that lives up to this vehicle. Sure there are many better cars with more options - but this car has not let me down. I pass who I need to and I have complete control in all situations - I dare say this car has saved my life more than once."

Like really expensive therapy

Pros: "fun, comfortable, plenty of tech"

Cons: "very unreliable and very expensive to maintain"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"I bought my 2002 330i with 94,000 miles on it 3 years ago. As you can tell, I don't drive that much. Despite that, I've been really disappointed with this car. It's not that the BMW didn't meet my expectations about what it would be, but that it broke all if mine about what it wouldn't be. In the 3 years I've owned it, I've had to spend more than $3,000 in parts alone (done all the work myself as I am a technician by trade) just to keep the thing running, replacing major components such as hub bearings, fuel pump, blower resistor pack, control arm bushings, engine mounts, strut and shock mounts, windshield moldings, A/B/C pillar trims and headliner, coil packs, many gaskets and seals, power steering and cooling hoses...and more. So why is this car still good? Because of the driving experience; it's fun, fast, handles amazingly well (provided you have the right tires on it), but gets reasonable fuel economy (on premium) and is still quite comfortable while providing plenty of luxury and technology to keep one happy. It's like going to a really expensive therapist: You step in feeling the weight of your world on your shoulders, but step out feeling relieved and ready to face your problems head on, then you wonder why the heck it cost you so much money to maintain that therapist? Is the fun this car provides worth the money it costs to maintain? Absolutely not."

Pros: "Safe, Strong, Gorgeous Body, Reliable, fun drive"

Cons: "only 2 doors, back seats are small"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I absolutely love my car. It is built very well, strong body frame. They don't build cars like they used to. I am holding on to mine forever. It has been the most reliable car I have ever had. It still has almost all of its original parts and it's over 13 years old. Everything still works like it did the first day I bought it. It still looks beautiful and I absolutely love the body style."
