"I drove my car hard and pushed it to the limits. But it still never officially broke down. only thing that went out was the fuel. Had a few electrical problems but thats all. also for being a plastic engine she was amazing."

Pros: ""Ultimate Driving Machine" experience!"

Cons: "Be methodical maintaining this car or don't buy it"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I've been driving a '97 e36 318i since 2000. Not the fastest car but an awesome, reliable, economical daily driver (as long as you service the car when recommended and preemptively change worn parts). However, my sister needed a car. I had 123,000 miles on the e36 and, though I loved that car, sold it to her. My cousin sold me his "04 e46 330i ZHP with 73k miles. He had meticulously cared for and maintained the little rocket. The car is sublime. For a daily driver it's got it all. The ZHP difference really matters! The e46 3 series is the perfect size for me. The e90s and F30s are nice but too large, bloated, and electronically complex and expensive to work on. I plan to drive my ZHP in to the ground. LOVE THIS CAR!!"

Pros: "Best Car ever, low maint, fun to drive/reliable"

Cons: "a little more HP would have been better"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Owned since 2005 , 14k miles, CPO. One of the best cars ever owned. Low maintenance, excellent reliabiltiy. Normal everyday maintenance and upkeep. Brakes tend to wear out on the front more than the rear. I change my own brakes and save $$$. Easy to change. The car drive like new still. Only repair was that the pulley broke taking out the water lines, and some belts. Still getting >30MPG on the HWY @70MPH. Still accelerates like new."

Most trouble-free car I've owned

Pros: "Perfect for mad driving skills"

Cons: "Sticky clutch/stickshift"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"My car was purchased used as a 2-year old. It has been the most reliable and trouble-free car I've owned with one exception: BMW is making their wire housing out of something that is delicious to rodents. I had approx $4k of damage from repeated attacks by some critter. The car handles like a dream, the transmission (manual) is smooth as butter. I have only two complaints: 1) is that the body style looked like every other brand at the time--ugly, and 2) the BMW clutch/stickshift suck compared to the smoothness of Japanese cars. The interior of the car is leather and chrome, gorgeous, but the hideous neon-orange display is now optionally blue, I understand. I have loved driving this car, at 10 years of age, it's only just now starting to need some repair work. Best car I've ever owned."

Pros: "great value, great performance, awesome look, fun"

Cons: "GPS disc sometimes doesnt read but dont use anyway"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I own a 2003 BMW 330xi and it is a great car. I have loved driving it because of the look and feel while driving. It has great handling and is quick. The AWD is money in the snow and ice. I have drove it in up to 6 inchs of snow without snow tires and the car drives great. On clear roads it is fast and the manual transmission is very fun to operate. The coolant/antifreeze started leaking around 99,000 miles but it was just a loose hose so very easy fix and inexpensive. This is a really awesome fun car I am in my mid 20s and owned over 9 cars and this one has been my favorite!"
