Pros: "fun to drive"

Cons: "too many to list"

"Not sure where to start. I bought this car in 07 with 50,000 miles on it. I feel like I've replaced everything but the engine and transmission. I've probably spent about $30,000 in repairs and I still need to drop another $4000 to have it running properly. The pneumatic suspension has been replaced around 3 times. I don't see myself buying another audi unless I'm stupid rich for some reason. On the rare occasion that everything was running properly, it was super fun to drive."

Pros: "Comfort, Bose, stability, crash protection,"

Cons: "Transmission. Find a great non-Dealer shop"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Beware of the automatic transmissions in this car. Simply Google the issue and you'll see what I'm talking about. Audi should have recalled these transmissions because the vast MAJORITY of people have massive problems with them. First issue is the Reverse Drum. When this breaks, the car won't go into reverse unless you're on a perfectly flat service. Second issues are the main transmission seals. They go. Third issue is the Torque Converter. The total cost for all three materials is about $1,200. But what kills people is the labor to take out the transmission. They realized in 2004 that these transmissions had major problems and changed for 2005. If buying used... MAKE SURE THE REVERSE DRUM HAS BEEN REPLACED. If it has not been replaced, you'll have to do it for $3-4k at some point in time when the reverse drum cracks."

Pros: "All-wheel drive, turbo, fun, great for hauling..."

Cons: "Electrical problems, fuel/oil costs"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"Way pimpish interior, ac, leather, woodgrain, bose system is slammin. Exterior is sleek and sporty for a wagon, especially tinted with 2 piece Audi rims. Needed a new alternator at 75kmi, needs new front axles at 90kmi, needs new power window motor, like I said it has issues but it is a really nice car overall."

"Fun car to drive when it functions properly. Have had nothing but issues with it since I bought in used. Suspension has failed, plenum drain got clogged and car was flooded with rain water (known problem), bad CV joints, on and on..."

Pros: "Super fun car to drive, lots of HP"

Cons: "Repairs are expensive"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I love the pick up this vehicle has and the smooth handling. It is a dream to drive..my kids are all asking when will I get rid of it because they want it. I did have to replace the air bag compressor around 150000, but bought one from Arnott industries for less and it works like new. It does prefer to run on 93 octane gas and does not like ethanol blends- I notice on long trips the check engine lights come on if I run a tank of gas with ethanol in it- some states only sell blends- but one I put 93 back in the light comes off. The gas mileage is OK, but I the horsepower and passing ability is unsurpassed. I wish they would not have quite making this wagon- it has room and is fun to drive. It's an Audi , so find a good mechanic other than dealership to save money on repairs if possible."

Does 220,000 and still going say it all

Pros: "Runs smooth, its a Porche in a wagon"

Cons: "21 miles per gallon"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Does 220,000 miles say enough in 7 years? And still flying? The only problem I had the first few years was the speeding tickets I got, because it was so fun to drive. At about 150,000 miles the first air suspension went on the front, and at 200,000 the second one went. At that point, instead of paying $1500. I bought a kit to replace all the air suspension units (4) with traditional shocks for $1300. Replaced the timing belt at 200,000 as well. Oil changes every 10k, rotate the tires, keep it clean and it will run great forever. Even at $1000 per year in maintenance, that's cheaper than a new car and I'm riding in luxury."
