"This car is the best car we have ever had. It has never failed on us it seems to just keep going. The car was in a front end wreck and was rebuilt but when they did a paint job the body shop it went to did a terrible job but this is not Audi's fault"

"We have owned 12 Audis since the late 80's and keep going back. We live in Michigan and the Quattro system allows us to keep driving in any weather condition with confidence. We have generally driven them until they have 175,000 miles with few issues. However, older models do need steering racks rebuilt every 60-75K miles ($800-900) and new hydraulic pumps about the same time ($500). The interiors are timeless and quiet. Best brand out there for the money."

Pros: "Quality, great road handling especially in snow"

Cons: "poor gas milage, expensive to maintain"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"This car has awesome interior. Gas milage is not great but it has lot's of power from the 300 horse engine. It is expensive to fix but is a reliable car. The Quattro handles and grabs the road nice and tight. My car has 140,000 but my mechanics advised me that these puppies can run up to 400.000k with not problem"

Pros: "performance, comfort, looks"

Cons: "low gas mileage"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"There is not much it is missing, apart from a built in Nav system (and these can be found now for $150) Bit heavy on tires, but if you go for comfort (Continental or Pirelli) and not Khumo or similar, 25,000 is usual so not bad for a biggish mid-sized sedan with 4-wheel drive. Some issues with pricing for repairs and big maintenance issues (timing chain, water pump and thermostat) which are not positioned well and need front end off to service, but I doubt it is more than a BMW, Merc or Lexus, so consider it a built in cost value"

Pros: "fun to drive, great handling, massive trunk space"

Cons: "excessive wear on front tires (AWD)"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I bought this 2001 Audi A6 Quattro 4.2L engine in Pearlescent white paint with all the extras the second it hit the dealer's lot 13 years ago. It has been a dream car for me and I've never been able to part with it or even consider owning anything else. Yes, repairs are expensive (but so are repairs to many other vehicles of lesser value). The Audi still feels new and at 110,000 miles there has been no sign of aging. I've spent $5,000 in repairs since owning it which I consider cheap for the reliability, luxury and safety it offers."
