overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsLikely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I have put over 140k on this car since buying it used in 2006. A true workhorse, reliable, with minimal $'s spent, save for oil changes. A bit underpowered, but who cares? Audi's best in my option."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 216,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "tons of space, great in snow, comfortable ride"
Cons: "gas mileage, age of car"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"I know newer Audis have had mixed reviews with electrical problems, but this car has been a great member of our family. Even at 200K + miles it is still going strong. It handles great in the snow, it can seat up to seven, it has enough space to load a twin sized mattress in the back (let alone bicycles, ski gear, everything that could fit into a college dorm). It is a HEAVY, safe car that's been hauling around bits and pieces of our lives for over 16 years. My husband is a window cleaner and he mounted a ladder rack on it! I couldn't afford another Audi, and at one point eight or ten years ago I considered trading it in for a brand new Subaru Outback (similar on the outside, at least), but the handling just didn't compare. If you're looking for a great AWD station wagon to use as a winter car or as a safe first car for your kid, think about this model."

I owned and sold this car
Reason: finally bought a newer Audi - My approximate mileage is 220,000
Pros: "unstoppable in adverse weather, extremely quiet!"
Cons: "under-powered"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought this car back in 1998, with just over 50K miles on her...I am sad to say that I sold her this week with 220000 miles. it's like losing a part of the family. This car has driven in the middle of some of the worst snowstorms in the northeast, and I always felt confident! I did 3 timing belts, 4 sets of CV joints, front struts once, only just changed the original battery last year!! she has had minor issues as of late....climate control is a little tempermental, driver side window regulator broke, sunroof switch broke...overall this has been an awesome car, now to start a new journey with a 2009 Audi A4!!"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 320,500
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "powerful, safe, super heated seats, reliable"
Cons: "European cup holder...lol...too small"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"Bought this car w/all its creature comforts at 122k miles. Original owner took great care of it, and it still felt like new at 7 years old. Drove it, and drove it hard for another 198k miles. Yeah, 198k miles...retiring it now at 320 and counting. Putting the Wanderlust to rest now because of exhaust repair cost and accumulation of issues (electrical, possible head gasket leak)... For the first 3 years, had a mountain commute and never missed an opportunity to pass slower cars on the uphill side of the mountain. Acceleration from 45 to 75 up the mountain was just incredible. Strong car. True car. Only true repair to this car was replacing head on passenger side at 255k miles. well' also replaced starter... Also retiring our 01 Ford Focus this year (5 year newer car that we bought new). Got 195k out of Focus and feel satisfied...but, by way of comparison...just no comparison. Not for economy of Focus, not for NOTHING. Paid $7,750 to drive Audi A6 w/its Quattro and all power everything for 198k miles, Paid 16K to drive the Focus 195k miles. If you got the money, a new Audi can't disappoint. If you got the choice, used Audi over new economy car any day. American cars are becoming just as expensive to fix... LOVE THIS CAR!"
